Trusted Autonomous Systems | ADSTAR 2024
Trusted Autonomous Systems is one of six #ADSTAR Summit 2024 themes.
As Robotics and Autonomous Systems (RAS) become more sophisticated, the dynamics of how humans and machines work together is changing. Autonomous systems are seen less as tools used for specific tasks and more as teammates that perform in complex scenarios and interact with humans and other autonomous systems. The system must perform as expected time and time again even in harsh conditions to become a trusted resource so Defence can use the disruptive benefits that autonomy promises.
The Australian Defence Science, Technology and Research (ADSTAR) Summit brings the innovation, science and technology enterprise together to share ideas on a global scale and will be held at the National Convention Centre in Canberra from 17 to 19 September 2024.
A must-attend event for small-to-medium businesses, industry, academia, and Government professionals who have expertise and interest in harnessing capability for a resilient Defence force. Attendees will hear from and engage with senior defence leaders and researchers, as well as defence industry representatives and other Australian and international researchers.
Attending in person is the best way to maximise your ADSTAR experience. However, the summit is offered as a hybrid event for those unable to travel. In this way, we can connect with partners face-to-face, across the country and around the world. There will be presentations, workshops, panel sessions, networking opportunities and an interactive exhibition floor as well as a gala dinner.
